just watched this movie last night.. the premise of the title and film centers around the mother of young girl, who was raped, murdered, and set on fire by an unknown killer.
convinced that the local police could be doing more, she erects billboards outside of town, calling into question the efforts of the town's beloved chief of police.
this does not sit well with the other townspeople, and soon, the town priest comes to visit and admonish her.and after hearing him tell her if she came to church more regularly, she would be able to find the peace and resolution she needs over her daughter's death, she delivers this speech to him:.

I hated the dress also!

I believe, in the link provided, the commentator mentioned a flawed story line, which is true. Other comments elsewhere indicate this is not a totally believable, reality-based story. Dixon and Mildred received no censure -- no punishment -- for their crimes. Your commentary and arguments are spot on.
What did you think of Dixon's mom? Her acting was so believable.

The ending was ... odd ... -- jp1692

So when Dixon’s violence is turned toward ends that match Mildred’s, it read as a redemption arc for some. Dixon overhears a man bragging about sexual assault and, convinced that he’s Mildred’s daughter’s rapist, leaps into action. It turns out the man isn’t the rapist, but Mildred and Dixon, reasoning that he clearly raped somebody, set out somewhat ruefully to kill him anyhow. (It isn’t clear, from the end of the movie, whether they follow through on that plan.) [bold added]
And that’s where the film leaves us. That didn’t sit well with some critics, who saw it as a parry on the film’s part to redeem Dixon without asking him to do anything but the most basic work toward that redemption.
well 55 yo this summer times flies.. was in my late thirties when i started thinking about getting braces or some other treatment for my crowded teeth.
decided to put it off a few years later as 'the new system' ™ was right around the corner.
then went through a huge burn out depression and my teeth became a lesser priority.
Question regarding some of the above good advice. Trying to piece it all together.
I have two lower teeth, side by side, that are loose due to gum loss. Would they have to be pulled and refitted somehow or could they remain in but be stabilized? I sure have to think before biting into something hard.
Not asking for a sight-unseen diagnosis; however, you who have offered suggestions do seem to know what you're talking about.
Thanks!

Excellent coverage of lies actually told. I was thinking, too, of elders and a member of the GB before gov't officials using theocratic warfare (not even wielding the "sword of truth" very capably). Oh, along the same line of thought -- JW broadcasts "exposing" lies told by rumor-mongering apostates.
I think you got my point.
Many thanks.
Edited to add: In the clip, note Ms. Dietrich's denial of knowing a certain person and writing to him. Seems so familiar a scenario.

If Your Church Fails to Act, Will You?
If, after making an honest investigation, you are less than pleased with what you see, do more than just complain. A journalist, while commenting on Karl Barth’s statement that a church is its members, logically concluded: "Church members . . . are responsible for what the church says and does." So ask yourself: Am I willing to share responsibility for everything my church says and does? Can I really be proud of having all its members as spiritual brothers? [bold added]
